hello? (ada, how on earth do you start something like this?)
hello ... i'm a music lover and a musician and i think about music a lot ... i actually don't like writing ... i never do it ... but despite that, for a handful of reasons that i don't want to get into, i thought i'd try to write some essay/blog post things.

PS. it feels unnatural, the idea of "finishing" a thought. before you click publish, it's still in an amorphous kind of state of non-being, and it could still grow or change into anything. then it's published and it's finished. feels much more natural to hold onto it and fiddle around with it forever.
as a musician i had that exact same reluctance to finish a thing. over a (very) long period of time i overcame that with the mind-frame that there's always more songs ... you know, learn from it and look forward. i'm gonna try and apply that same idea to writing. there will always be more thoughts ... ... probably.
